So far, we have collected $6251 from Sundays Event. But we are still waiting on the Credit Card Charges to post, so that number will be going up. We also have to follow up on some of the silent auction items. Some people left early and we need to collect from a few of them. We need to give some special thanks to some key people who helped full this event off. We have to say, it was one of the easiest benefits or events we have ever seen operate. And it all comes down to the key people who put their time and effort into this. Benefit Organizers: These were the ones that put the time into all the meetings to make sure the event was smooth as silk. If I forget to mention someone, it isnt on purpose! Judith Merck, Michelle Roberts Strambler Donna Rogers-Clement Eric Robinson Carol Schronk Williams Janice Kring Corey Rea Laurie Weatherford Pike Leslie Denson Clairmont Wendi Coffey Mirium Hink To All the Musicians: Thank you sooo much. You all stepped up and the song swap was perfect. It gave everyone a chance to hear your music! We know you all get bombarded by benefit request and the sheer number of you guys that stepped up for this family was amazing! An Extra Special Thank you goes out to: Tia Crawford at MacGyvers Bar. Thank you for providing the venue. It worked out perfectly! Thank you for donating the 4 last briskets needed. We had the exact amount of food needed! Bryan McLarty with Big Fish BBQ and Operation BBQ Relief https://facebook/pages/BigFish-BBQ/356335590154 Bryan, you did it again. One phone call, you immediately stepped up and did your magic. Over the last decade and a half or so, it has been a pleasure calling you not just a friend, but a Brother! Mark Barron, Thank you for the hours and hours prepping, cooking, and serving! We know your feet were as sore as ours! Jamie Geer with Jambos BBQ Shack https://facebook/pages/Jambos-BBQ-Shack/599613796739141 Jamie, I had never met you until this event. Thank you for everything you did. Your reputation is as big as your heart! No wonder you were voted the 12th most influential person person in BBQ last year. You have earned it! Paula Ann Ussery-Woods and her Husband, Kevin Woods Thank you for donating the 80 pounds of chicken! We had the perfect amount of food! Byron Cassidy - Thank you for the bounce house! It was huge hit! Meagan Lewis with Big Star 97, Thank you for covering the event live all day! You dont know how much we appreciate you! ***************************************************************** There were sooooo many businesss the helped out. We couldnt event begin to list and thank them all. But there are some that deserve special recognition and thanks: There are two Businesses that we need to give a special thank you. We had been to HEB, Walmart, Kroger, Aldi trying to get the meats donated. We went to City Market, and met the owner, Kurt Jeager. Within a couple of minutes, he asked what we needed. Without hesitation, he donated an entire case of Briskets. When all the other stores in Burleson turned their back on this family, Kurt opened his heart up. We need more businesses in Burleson like City Market. So before you go to the big chain stores remember there is a man in Burleson who not only needs the community, he also supports the community! When we were still short of meat, Tia Crawford at Macgyvers came through again. Not only did she and her husband provide the venue, she also supplied the 4 last briskets needed to make sure we had enough food. At the end of the night, there was about 6 chicken leg quarters left, and 10 pounds of chopped brisket! Talk about perfect! Tia and Mark, Thank you sooooo very much! Chucks Instant Printing Cowtown Clothing - Awesome design on the shirts! AutoNation Ford in Burleson - The only Car Dealership in Burleson who would help Cousins BBQ Home Depot, North Richland Hills The Virgo Muse - https://facebook/TheVirgoMuse Burleson Quilting for the quilts I am sure I am forgetting many others, but these are the ones that opened up and immediately helped out without question.
