So for those of you that dont know, this past Tuesday my life completely changed. My mom tried contacting me while I was at work, which was so unusual. So I excused myself to the bathroom stall to see what she needed... As I returned her call, she said to me in a low voice & through shaking words that she just found out she had been diagnosed with colon cancer. My entire world immediately stopped spinning & I fell to my knees & lost my mind. The tears kept coming as I imagined how devastated she must have felt hearing that horrible news. Through the many mother & daughter fights & through any family drama, I still stand firm in believing my mother is a beautiful person & a incredible fighter. I admire her strength & her ability to not give up. I would literally physically & mentally destroy anyone who tried to harm her because shes so precious to me, but I feel helpless in this battle. I wish I could take it all away from her & carry this burden myself. I wont lose my mother to cancer. I refuse. If you believe in God, my family needs your prayers of strength, peace & encouragement. 5 weeks of chemo, along with 2 surgeries. We will fight with her until the fight is over. I love you mom...I wont give up on you.
