So grateful right now for the cute elderly couple who live below me. As I sit on my balcony playing with acrylics and canvas, I listen to them. They talk on the phone to their great grandson who is graduating tomorrow as they throw pieces of bread to the chickadees who live near by. After hanging up with the soon to be high school graduate, the couple watch the birds commenting on the way they go about pecking at the food. Which birds are brave, their sizes, and how much they eat. Laughing and watching their feathered friends they comment on how nice the breeze feels. They have been married 60 some-odd years and still seem to find simple pleasure in each others company. Beautiful.
