So, have just finished the most disastrous Loch Ness Marathon... - TopicsExpress

So, have just finished the most disastrous Loch Ness Marathon... Please note I said finished, because I did, but it was the hardest, hilliest, and loneliest marathon I have ever done. Bringing the wrong running shoes didnt help and I have blisters on blisters, smashed toe nails and my knee is completely shot from running down an extremely steep hill. Met a couple of lovely ladies towards the end that kept me going, which was really nice. Have to say that I think my long distance running days are at an end. I dont want to hurt like this anymore. Think my bike is going to take over... (Unless I get a ballot place at London of course, then thats a different matter). So, overview... Loch Ness is the most beautiful place, but no spectators along the route make it lonely and hard... Would I do it again? No, its ticked of my bucket list
