So in a couple of days, I both turn 40 and prepare for my final race of the year (5th race of marathon distance or longer since April!) Its been a crazy year - I read something about years ending 9 being full of change - and this year hasnt disappointed. I want to thank Erica, Hallie, and Ella for being so generous during the year, allowing me to take a lot of personal time to train and travel, while supporting me at every race, including this weekends 50km race in HK: thenorthface100/race/en/index.php Ive had a blast rediscovering my love of running, despite battling the Beijing pollution during both training and the Beijing Marathon (look up this years race!) My running partners have been there with me all year, especially Jerry (at every race) and Tom (joining me in Paris and Beijing). I want to thank Benjamin for using up all his vacation so I could convince Erica to let me go to Brazil, the spiritual home of the World Cup. Theres been a bunch of change at work that I wont get into - and will expect a lot of change professionally next year, but all in all, its been a great year and Im looking forward to see what adventures the next decade brings!
