So its Earth Day today, and an easy time to beat ourselves up about whats going wrong in the world. But why not focus on appreciation and action instead? First, appreciation: Spend some time outside today! And consider joining the David Suzuki Foundations 30x30 Nature Challenge next month and spend 30 minutes outside every day. Getting a daily dose of nature can lead to increased mental and physical health, higher levels of happiness and work productivity, and a stronger sense of community. Next, action. Join a Ghost River Rediscovery Camp this summer and learning about yourself, the others you camp with and the beautiful land of Southern Alberta that has nurtured people for thousands of years: ghostriverrediscovery/summer Become a volunteer with a local NGO like CAUSE Canada and help support kids education and sustainable agricultural practices in countries like Sierra Leone: cause.ca/get-involved Or join Oxfam in the Prairies and be part of their upcoming campaigns to tackle land grabs and climate change! Lets go outside and make the world a planet a better place!
