So, ladies, I have just finished The Handmaids Tale by Margaret Atwood. I thought I had read this early in my life, and realized a chapter in that I hadnt. I now believe EVERY woman on this planet should read this book. In middle school, again in high school, in college and again when they marry. Because those of you who do NOT think women are being systematically targeted and marginalized might just change your mind after reading this. It is CRITICAL that we keep our eyes on this fact and do NOT let ourselves be dragged back into the middle ages!!!!!!! Spread the word. Read the book. Give it to your sisters, your nieces, your daughters, your granddaughters....Dont let them take us down. Stand together!!!!!!! (Yes, before anyone asks me, I do know this is a work of fiction, however, it clearly shows where we could be coerced to be - by force -at gunpoint.)
