So many co-parents are unaware of the detailed parental agreement and the compulsory age appropriate child interview necessary as part of their court documents, yet wonder why they still engage in conflict with each other post divorce. Far too many people are swindled by the idea of a "quick" divorce process with a generic parental clause included which gives them no guidance on the specifics of care and contact with their children. Only to later discover that they have to be more involved in collaborating with each what will work for themselves and their children because of the lack of a detailed document At Fair Practice we are glad that our clients have come to us, pre and post divorce, and embraced the idea that a parental plan is needed to make going forward less apprehensive for everyone. Thank you to co-parents who have drafted their agreements with us and finally understand what "the best interests of the child" really means.
