What a mess!! My quarters are tight in here by the computer. Sometimes I bump the shelving by my desk as I try to turn around to leave the room. A little while ago, it was more than a bump: as I turned around and got to the door I heard a god-awful crash and turned around to see this mess. The upper corner of it just missed my computer screen. The printer hit the floor, the scanner, the Wacom tablet, lots of saved papers, two reams of good printer paper, five old hard drives, etc., etc. I havent tried any of the equipment yet, but at least none of the things busted. I can hardly believe that I put it all back together myself! Well, I still have a few things to pick up, but I managed to stand and put the shelving upright, put it back together where it had snapped apart, pick up the machines, etc. So far, I feel really lucky.... ESPECIALLY that Boxer had gone out ahead of me when he realized I was about to leave. He sleeps on that bottom shelf when Im in here, and I always say to him, Boxer, Im going to back up now, and he gets up and moves. Otherwise, tonight, he could have been really hurt.
