So much more is revealed personally about the amazing Apostle Paul - TopicsExpress

So much more is revealed personally about the amazing Apostle Paul in his first letter to the Corinthians than in any of his other writings. Wednesday night at church during fellowship the subject came up about who we most want to spend eternity with. Naturally, the most popular answer was Jesus. Of course, Heaven wont feel like Home to me until I meet my Savior and my Judge face to face and get a big hug from Him telling me I passed the test. But I figure Jesus will be so busy with all the other saints, and Ive always felt such a connection to Paul, that I have this burning desire in my soul to spend eternity talking with him, There are so many personality traits and talents we share, I see a common mindset in so many ways, and there are qualities about him that I deeply admire, and some I recognize in myself. From I Corinthians alone I get that Paul is warm and encouraging, a peacemaker, a stumbling block to Jews, (I certainly tried my best to get the Greenberg kids to see my Jesus viewpoints.) foolish (to the Gentiles), occasionally unwise, faithful, spiritual, Christ-like and Christ-centered, Jesus servant, entrusted with the Word, blameless, sincere, (He practiced what he preached.) a teacher, forgiving, a stern, admonishing father figure, pure of heart and mind, moral, a marriage counselor, role model, old-fashioned traditionalist, and very mannerly. He was a far better writer than he was a speaker, as he clearly admitted (2:1). There is much more to Paul than I could ever put into a book, and he has taught me so much by staying so true to the Spirit.
