So my last day in Indonesia Greg Gillard and I rented scooters for 2 1/2 hrs ($4.00) each (what)? and as kids we are went off the beaten path and went up to the top of a volcano, okay 3/4 the way up no roads just trails the locals use I hit lose dirt and took a pretty nasty spill. I went over on my side on the edge of a cliff but was saved by hitting a large rock the prevented me from going over cliff. This shit only seems to happen to me!! After Greg pulled scooter off me I realize my knee was cut and very swollen,cut, bruised hip and now I think either bruised or cracked ribs as very sore to breathe. As we were heading back down we met 2 locals ( spoke no English) looked at my cuts ( now this is right out of natural geographic documentary ) went reached into jungle grabbed a certain kind of leaf of a plant and proceeded to chew them up then placed and rubbed on my cuts. Within a couple minutes the pain subsided and the swelling went down half way after about 2 hours. Okay Im a believer in things the western world just doesnt get in most cases! Cool story for my grandchildren!
