So normally, I dont get this distraught over deaths of famous people. But Robin Williams. Man. Gotta get something off my chest... Depression is not a joke. We often dismiss it as just someone being sad. But let me assure you that depression is a disorder. Depression is very difficult to treat, and most people just try to provide immediate happiness to cure it. Unfortunately, I am no stranger to depression and losing beloved ones to this disorder. With the recent passing of Mr. Williams, these memories were stirred up once again. Please, guys... People living with depression wont display symptoms that are easily recognizable. So I urge you, friends, to please be aware of any behavioral changes with your friends. Be a friend. Be there. And dont make the same mistakes that Ive once made with being too stern with your friends. I never understood depression until I learned more about it. I urge you to do the same. Here are some videos that will help with understanding depression just a bit more. Its time consuming, but please please please watch some of the videos below. Because you never know; your understanding of depression may in fact help you to save a life of a loved one. Or even your own.
