So one of my BIG blessings today is also one of my big frustrations!! Last summer I took my van to Firestone in Spring Meadows. I wanted them to top off the freon in my a/c but they said they had to flush it refill completely from scratch. What could I do? I agreed to it. Cost me over $150 and they came out at the end saying that it did not fix the problem. They decided that I needed FOUR new parts for my a/c and it would cost me over $400 now to get the thing fixed. So ever since then Ive just driven around with my windows open. Today I took my van over to B&L in Whitehouse to have them look at the a/c and hopefully fix it. They called me first thing and said they were planning to vacuum out the freon so they could reuse it but there was NO freon in the van! I asked if it might have leaked out. He said it was possible. He would run a pressure test to see if there were any leaks. So he did. And guess what? No leaks! Gee, what does that tell you? But the good news is, the total cost for replacing the freon this time was only $119 including tax. Stay away from that Firestone store. What a rip-off!
