So, our neighbour behind us is a real nice lady - not! Our house is a corner lot & she just had her driveway redone in concrete. She had them redirect her eavestroughs downspout so that it literally runs down onto our property, by the corner of our house. We already have our own downspout in that corner & in light of the flooding that Burlington experienced, I REALLY dont need any more water in that corner of OUR property from HER roof. I mean, REALLY? What a selfish, ignorant thing to do! Here are some pics I took from the sidewalk - you can clearly see her new downspout running under her driveway towards OUR property. And in the pic of the bottom of the fence, taken from our yard, you can see the opening of the pipe from behind the rock. Tonight it is raining & the ground was sopping wet from her pipe & was draining towards my house. Not happy. Atleast the City will make her fix it properly - major bylaw violation. And after the severe flooding Burlington had on Aug. 4th - NOT TOLERATED.
