So proud. Our shy child who initially refused to enter tge Speech and Drama Competition. Father said I manipulated him to do something he really didnt want to do and I rebutted that I gave him.an incentive !! I was mean I bribed him with one big 100 slab of chocolate if he entered all 4 categories. Nathan only wanted to eventually enter the prepared reading section. I told him - NO GO! ! ALL 4 CATEGORIES OR THE DEAL IS OFF. Vincent was VERY VERY VERY unhappy with my bribe. Well chocolate is a rare treat and my child eventually was happy to accept the INCENTIVE! He read a Bible passage, an unprepared reading, a prepared reading, and said a poem. The adjudicator chose this poor shy child first!!! Annandale - first on the list!! He was rather nervous. The adjudicator was very,very,very impressed with his prepared reading. She met him over the next two days after that, on the corridors and kept remarking afterwards to colleagues about this well mannered child. We are very proud. He scored an A+ and an A++ and therefore went up.on stage to receive his certificates. The other award is that he came FIRST in the entire school for reading 30 classic books. We are IMMENSELY proud of him. Well done, Nathan. We are so proud of your achievements and on your impeccable manners. Well done. Keep shining for Him!
