So right now, we are blocking travel to and from Israel for a second day, putting a vise on their economy intentionally. We are stopping air traffic even though you could catch a flight to or from Israel to or from almost anywhere else in the world. We are trying to stop Israel from winning a decisive victory in Gaza...whether you think it is good policy or bad is not my point...my point is that we are clearly NOT on the side of a decisive victory for Israel...and at the exact same time Israel doesnt have the parts, OR money to buy the parts, for the Iron Dome defense system...the one piece of equipment that is preventing Israel from being overrun by the enemies that literally now surround her... Do you think she will do whatever we tell her to? Something tells me she is feeling amenable. What interesting timing... No iron dome is real bad...As my Palestinian friend says this is bad news bears... This is the beginning of a major shift in the history of the world. The US has never turned against Israel quite like this...we are in uncharted waters...the silence of the American Church on this and the Christian persecution in Iraq is almost deafening...what has happened to us?! 5:50 P.M. U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel says Israel has asked the U.S. for $225 million, to compensate for missing parts necessary for operation of Iron Dome batteries. Israeli defense officials have in recent weeks claimed Israel has sufficient supply of Tamir missiles (used by the Iron Dome batteries). But Hagel says Israel is currently suffering from an acute shortage of parts, (which he declined to name) and cannot wait for a fresh supply from the U.S. manufacturer, which is planned for over two years from today.
