So there are those situations where you wonder how you would react if you were in that spot. Today I found out one of mine. While tracking a deer I had just attempted to shoot...95% certain I missed...but just trying to make sure I hadnt left a wounded animal out there. Left my bow and rifle in the truck and only had my trusty 40 on my hip. 60 yards into the brush, a wild hog jumps out about 30 feet in front of me and charges. Everything went into slow motion. I stood there and emptied and entire magazine into him. Had to track him a couple of hundreds yards and it took another magazine and two shots from a 9mm and a final coupe-de-gras from a 45. If you have ever been charged by a wild boar you know that the purple marbles must be removed from your trousers afterwards. This big boy tipped the scales at just over 500Lbs.
