So, there is a Brother from church who likes to crack jokes with veiled criticisms about what I dont make it to and what I do & dont do. Im not offended but I find it funny that someone who has a spouse feeding them, picking up after them & taking primary care of the kids would poise their lips to criticize a single mother who works full time, is raising 2 faithful Christian children who have an agnostic Father who rarely is around. A Mother who gets them to their various activities. Hey, I bring home the bacon as this Brother does but I also fry it up in the pan & clean up the pan, as his wife does for him. Very few think to offer any help or rides for my children to these activities theyre headed to with their kids. As a matter of fact, the few times over the last 3 years I have asked him for help, hed direct me to someone else. I believe the Bible tells us to care for the widow (my husband spiritually died) not criticize her. Single Mamas, you get me! Its all good, they get it done with a partner, we do it alone through the strength of Christ, which makes us twice as strong! He couldnt handle my jobs-mother, father, financial planner, maid, chauffer, event coordinator, teacher, counselor, nurse, launderette, Assistant Auditor, etc. Im Woman hear me roar! AND let me add, I get it all done despite having fibromyalgia!
