So this morning I went to church alone and so I see an empty seat - TopicsExpress

So this morning I went to church alone and so I see an empty seat and I ask this white woman whether there is someone sitting there and she tells me nobody is sitting and am welcome to sit. She then asks me if I always come to church alone and I tell her no - sometimes I come with my husband and children, sometimes with my husband and sometimes alone. She asks how old are my children then I tell her the oldest is 23. She says, wow, you look young for your age. This is church, so even though I wondering what she means I decide to keep quiet and just smile and focus on the proceedings of the service. We start singing and while standing I can see she is moving away from me and I start wondering whether I forgot to put perfume. No but I did - my channel no 9, it is Sunday after all. After the singing we sit down for the announcement and she literally moves away and now there is an empty seat between us. Gosh! I got upset and decided I must ask her. We have a coffee break at our church and so I ask her if I did anything to offend her. She says no and I ask her, So why are you moving away from me? She says, because I need some space. So I say to her, but I asked you if I can sit here, you should have told me you need space and I would have gone elsewhere to it. And then she goes on and on about how she has no problem with me. I can of course see she pulled her handbag away etc. and so pull out my business card and tell her am safe. Okay break is over and I must ficus.
