So this morning at 9:00am I will be on Proclaim FM with Craig Magrum doing a devotional, tune in and check out their new format, love Craigs vision for the impact on our community. But today I am going to be talking about the book of Daniel, you know the Lions Den, his 3 friends that escaped the fire, but I am going to focus on Daniel as a leader, his daily disciplines, his habits for success. 25 Centuries ago, in the face of despair, defeat, Daniel and thousands of his countrymen were deported to a foreign land and held captive. In the midst of this, he excelled, and even after the people he served turned on him, Daniel held fast to his Faith in God. He knew that despite the circumstances, God is Sovereign, God is in control. God is moving, he is working and so must we. That we need to be faithful, just like God is Faithful. We have to get out of the stands, and into the game! Here are 4 key points to Learn from Daniels leadership, from how he lived his life. 1) God is in control: God is all knowing, He is in charge of all the world events, all the crazy, God will overcome all evil, no one is exempt. And He will deliver the Faithful who follow him. 2) We all have a purpose in Life: He has blessed each of us with a gift set that will serve Him, His plan and Purpose. And we are called to use them in the face of any circumstance, or threat. We need to learn to DISOBEY anyone, and I mean anyone that ask you to DISOBEY God. 3) Perseverance: Daniel served 70 years in a foreign land that was hostile to God. Dont let your Vision get blurry, be relentless in your prayers, maintain your integrity and be content to serve God wherever He has put you! 4) Gods Faithfulness: God is Faithful, because He is Faithful to us, we should be Faithful to Him! But the biggest lesson to take away is this: Daniel demonstrated that TODAY matters! He demonstrated that the discipline of each day, regardless of the opposition, is the key to being prepared for any opportunity. To many times we want to wait for the opportunity, and then we will commit and prepare. Sorry, it will be to late. Start today, prepare today, decide today, then you will be ready for the opportunity tomorrow! Hope you will join me on Proclaim Fm. TGIF friends!
