So today marks a landmark in that today is the day that i received the most blatantly unfair and completely downright wrong grade that i have ever received in my academic history. My very professional teacher did one of three things: a.) Fell asleep during my speech b.) Didnt pay attention to my speech c.) Decided to not listen to my speech I truly am astounded at the complete lack of attention that he must have put towards my speech. I recorded it for personal purposes and afterwords looked at the grading on the rubric compared to the speech that i gave. Literally 90% of the rubric was completely wrong and the points he said i didnt make were clearly orated as i and others listened to it. My classmates agree with my assertion that the grading is downright unfair. So i could talk to him about it; however, this lovely piece of professionalism is the header on the rubric: Coming to me and saying, I know i said____ will do you no good because i will say apparently you didnt say it clearly enough for me to hear it. I will go to him, and i will say that he is wrong, and if he doesnt listen, then i will go to his boss, and if his boss does not listen, then i will go to his/her boss. If that doesnt work, a strongly worded dissertation will be written to the SUNY Chancellor in Albany. My grade as a result of this bullshit has dropped from a B to an F. This will not be the last of my rant. This is downright wrong and if nothing is done to fix it then clearly further actions need to be taken. I hope to god Im not the only one this has happened to.
