So tonight while my band Two For The Ferrymen were practicing this morning at out bassists, Joe Hall, pizza restaurant we had a surprise guest. As we were going over a song a homeless man scurries up to the door. Instantly my first thought is, okay this guy is going to go mega crackhead on us as flip. Our rhythm guitarist, Alex Schwab, cracks the door hesitantly. Lo and behold! The man frantically says, hey hey hey hey hey you guys got a lighter I just need to borrow a lighter got a lighter! Our lead guitarist, Alex Wallach, quickly tosses him a lighter. The man pokes his head in and combusts in to excitement saying, holy crap! A real live band! I get to see a real live band! Yeah I listen to you guys all the time! Holy crap this is so cool! Joe instructed the man that he can watch, but he has to smoke outside. The man agrees and we frantically lock the door behind him. We all gather ourselves and got ready to play the best show this goofy little crackhead has every seen. We get settled. Alex starts with his distorted minor chords and the song takes flight! We put every thing we got into our the song. Sweating and getting lost in the overwhelm sound of music. As I like to my right out the window I see the drugged out man doing the homeless jig. Skipping left and right wiggling himself and enjoying the music. Basically he was tripping the fudge out. As we all build up to the end we flawlessly end the passion-driven song. The wacky cracky fan of ours jumps and yells. As if he just saw Jimi Hendrix live. He thanks is and trots off into the dark. Morally of the story. Dont stop following your dreams, because one day you too can give a homeless man the best trip of his life. Thank you. Good morning and good night to you all.
