So troubled Hollywood actor Shia LeBeouf said recently in an interview that he became a Christian while filming the movie Fury. Here was his quote: I found God doing Fury. I became a Christian man, and not in a f***ing b***s*** way—in a very real way. I could have just said the prayers that were on the page. But it was a real thing that really saved me. And you can’t identify unless you’re really going through it. It’s a full-blown exchange of heart, a surrender of control. And while there’s beauty to that, acting is all about control. So that was a wild thing to navigate. Reading the reactions from Christian blog and news sites have been interesting. Some say hes just method acting... putting skills to use to get attention. Others say he cant have had a true conversion because his language included profanity. What do you think? Is he being genuine or is this a publicity stunt? I guess I personally want to believe that he has given his life to Christ. It certainly changed my reality and the trajectory of my life... from a very selfish, shallow existence to living with true purpose and conviction. Maybe Im just being overly optimistic about it but I hate to doubt someone elses spiritual breakthrough. Who am I to judge? God alone knows the heart.
