So what was the state of the building the Former CHRAJ boss Emile - TopicsExpress

So what was the state of the building the Former CHRAJ boss Emile Short occupied before he left? I believe that the CHRAJ boss ought to be housed and that is not something we can compromise on because even deputy ministers are housed. If the place needs painting and some little renovation,it has to be done and this should not cost that much as we are hearing. The problem however is that some of these people come into these offices with some sophisticated taste and we also tend to renovate the place to their luxurious expectation. If they cant occupy the building they should stay in their houses and then we pay them the standard rent allowance. We should not modify any state apartment to suit any public servants sophisticated taste. That is not your their personal property. There should be a standard for state accommodations. Just how do we justify an amount of 182,000 cedis on renovating a building that was being occupied by another man just for a new boss to stay in?Was Emile Shot that dirty a man or he lived with rats in the house for the place to deteriorate to the tune of such an amount? This amount can buy a 3-bedroom standard building in Accra. How come this renovation has dragged for 3 years?why are they building a mini Accra Mall in the building or they are constructing the Accra-Kumasi road inside that house? What cock and bull story is this? And all this while the CHRAJ boss has been living in a hotel that cost the nation $148,500. $5500 monthly and $456 a day. Just how does this woman justify this stupid decision and she has the guts to say people calling for her resignation are ignorant about the issues. If she has any integrity and common sense left she would have tendered in her resignation letter. This is just ridiculous and she heads no less an institution than the Commission for Human Right and Administrative justice of this country. This can only happen in a buffoon state.
