So when I was about 10 to 12 years old, and I was discovering there was a lot of other cool music out there, besides what was on the radio, my mother was listening to, well... what was on the radio! But above all the rest that was being played at the time, she was really into The Official Donna Summer, and she would actually blast the albums she had, in the apartment we lived in, and I secretly loved it. I like to think two things when it comes to music, and my mother: first, Im sure that her love of this particular record is the sole reason that I love electronic music, as much as I do. All the little blips, beeps and sequenced repetition that Giorgio Moroder blessed us with on this magnificent tune would influence what I wanted to hear most, as I got older... And second, if my mother only knew how excited I would be in dance clubs with my friends, when this song came on, well... I just dont know. Im pretty sure they all loved this song, too. Its what it was written for... I dig every single note, word and subtle nuance of this record. I only wish I could have been a tad older to be there when it was being played in the clubs of its time, and I only wish I would have shared more of my love for these things, than I used to. Maybe some things would have been different. Mom, this song is so badass, it kills me. One of my favorites! And its all your fault! ;)
