Like most others in the workforce, your Travel agent gets 4 weeks Annual leave a year, and, so just like everyone else, must plan their holidays carefully to make sure we enjoy ourselves and relax, come back refreshed, and brimming with good ideas for other peoples’ holidays. And that’s the important bit...the good ideas for your holiday. Trevor, the owner of Travel Direct of Kingscliff has been travelling through Europe for over 35 years, and is STILL finding little gems of hotels, unusual tours, and off-the-radar destinations to add to our range of offerings to the traveller. Helen makes it her mission to travel somewhere completely different every year, to add to her already broad experience of Adventure Travel. This year in August, she will be travelling to Tonga to go swimming and diving with the Humpback whales in their own holiday spot. Tonga has a reputation for great hospitality, stunning blue water, and amazing scenery, but isn’t commercialised with big multinational resorts. Imagine sitting on the deck of a simple thatched Fale or lazing in a hammock right on the soft sands of the beach. No telephones, and no TV: just amazing sunset views, the best and freshest lobster anyone could wish for, and nothing but good company and great snorkelling for entertainment....not forgetting the whales, with whom it’s possible, if you’re lucky, to get right up close and personal...as far as the law permits, of course.
