So while we disproportionately celebrate the increased population - TopicsExpress

So while we disproportionately celebrate the increased population of one Schedule 1 species (rather subspecies) we dont even care a rats ass or bats wings about these far more rare and range restricted and ecologically important species which directly help farmers and urbanites by consuming harmful mosquitoes, flies, locusts and bugs... A school teacher had found one individual from Meghalaya ages ago and nobody believed her and I had found a dead individual from Dandeli and yet it was a single breeding population species and Meena Haribal and Nitin Jamdar reported one dead individual from Corbett and finally now we have a whole breeding population of the rare Otomops wroughtonii or Wroughtons free tailed Bat - clearly shows more camera traps and surveys and photographs and books and research is necessary on my favourite group of mammals which contribute to over 20-25% of all Mammalian diversity in the World as in India too... Congrats for the find... Im happy happy high on this news...
