So yesterday I had the opportunity to step into a really really nice house in Sentosa Cove. It was really beautiful. It was a modest size property; with 3 bedrooms, a pool that wraps around the house (which was part jacuzzi), a basement entertainment room that looks into the pool like an aquarium, a roof top garden. Okay doesnt sound modest anymore. But its best and coolest feature was that it has almost no walls. According to the architect it was abt 75% glass walls. Yup, master bedroom, bathroom, guest bedroom, all glass panels. They can all be moved and the whole house opens up to the outside. It was so awesome. There was no boundary to what is inside and what is outside. This was the brainchild of the owner who LOVES the outside, he loves the openness and natural light and ventilation. He said he hates air conditioning. It is named as one of the five most relaxing houses in the world. I totally agree, I felt really relaxed the whole time I was there. But because of all that glass, it had a greenhouse effect, it was so damn warm. gizmodo/5580961/who-doesnt-want-to-live-in-this-dream-house And has an estimate value of over $35million. Yup, dont think Ill even see that kind of money in my entire lifetime. It is really an awesome house. Still cannot get over it. Nonetheless, when I got home to my little 3 bedroom apartment, I couldnt be any happier. My 2 babies sleeping soundly in their beds, I couldnt thank God more for all that he has given me. The laughter and joys that echo in this tiny apartment will trump any big luxurious house. I have never envied people who have big houses or properties, I was never brought up to feel that way at all. Being rich was never important to me. They might have bigger houses, they probably drive more expensive cars, they may have a pool in their house; but that never equates to being happier people. I suffice, I have a place to sleep every night, food whenever I am hungry and laughter of my children. I am more blessed than some people out there. I am richer in my heart. I guess to me, the heart of the family is more important that square feet quantity. And my childrens laughter brings me most joy.
