Solebury School is pleased to announce that Emily Baltimore, Charlotte Martin, Sophia Bridgers, Tali Natan, Julie Meisinger-MacDonald, and Moses Heberline have had their art work selected for inclusion in the Phillips’ Mill Community Association’s First Youth Art Exhibition. Eleven high schools from Pennsylvania and New Jersey both public and private elected to participate. The Art Department at each school selected up to 12 student works for the exhibition. The exhibited art will include two and three dimensional works comprising painting, watercolor, collage, pastel, graphite, digital art that is not photography and sculpture. Awards will be determined by the show’s juror, Marcia Weikert who holds a BS in Art Education from SUNY and an MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Tyler School of Art. The Youth Art Exhibition will be open to the public on three successive weekends in January 2014, Sat. 11 and Sun. 12, Sat. 18 and Sun. 19, Sat. 25 and Sun 26. The exhibition will be open from noon to 5 p.m. and admission is free. The exhibition will be held at the historic Phillips’ Mill, 2619 River Road, 2 miles north of New Hope, PA.
