Solidarity with the affected people of Warsaw (open letter). The 11th of November saw nationalist violence commanding the streets of Warsaw. We want to convey our solidarity with the people who were attacked at the Przychodia and Syrena squats. We dont agree that these attacks are presented as being co-responsible as provocateurs for the attack by dozens of armed militants. We also remember the symbol of the burned rainbow on Plac Zbawiciel. That is another example that the idea of nationalism is grounded on exclusion and discrimination which will lead to violence - attacks on people, but also on everything that connects them to diversity and tolerance. We show solidarity with the victims of the attacks of the 11th of November also, because we have also have to deal with such nationalist violence. A year ago the Wagenburg collective was attacked, also on the 11th of November. Around the same time saw attacks on the Wrocław March of Diversity as well as an attempt to set fire to Romany nomads as well as an attack on a charitable concert. It is not important whether the initiators of this violence is the National Movement or the NOP. Whether in Warsaw or in Wrocław violence serves the function of scaring minorities and political opponents. Neither in those situations or in the more recent one did leaders of nationalist formations distance themselves from their perpetrators - therefore one can say that they accept responsibility for the activities of their followers. We are a group of Vratislavians who are resolved to act to stop prejudice and hate motivated violence. This problem is not limitted to our locality, because it is vitally important that solidarity from those who are opposed to such a kind of behaviour. We endorse the protest in Warsaw called Freedom doesnt burn! against the violence of the March of Independence as well as the happening We are kissing underneath the rainbow.
