Some advice for a non-hardcore e-bike conversion? Hello guys, I have a friend who wants to convert a bike for his father, he has his back bad, not an sporty person (88kg) just for being able to enjoy the ride and not stopping cycling. The place where he rides is with a lot of climbing, so I thought that 500W at 48V (hub motor enough or bafang?) could be OK, then a 48V 5-10Ah battery, controller without regen ( less price and less failure for a cheap one), being so for an old man I thing that buying one of this batteries that are installed in the water bottle screws in the frame would be perfect in terms of handling, but I dont have experience with them. Now it is a long time since I did my e-bike and Im not sure where to buy all the things so Im looking forward for your advice and suggestion regarding what and where to buy. Cheers!
