Some guy donantes money to a non profit organization. He makes the donation via Credit Card in the amount of $200. Somehow he makes a mistake and inadvertently puts $2200. Upon realizing his mistake he emails the Non-Profit Organization and explains his mistake and respectfully request that the $2000. be returned. So the NPO refunds the money. Same guy donates another $250. to a different NPO and again makes a mistake and puts $2250. He emails the NPO and explains his mistake again and requests that $2000. Be returned. There is a contractor that manages multiple NPOS and recognized the same name and email and claims that there is some sort of internet fraud. So I ask, Whats Fraud about it? She says, hmm... Thats a good question, I guess I really wouldnt have any way of knowing unless the Credit Card had been stolen. So I ask, Is the Credit Card Stolen? She says, I have no idea. Then she says, well, I just wanted to make the Police aware of this. So I ask, aware of what? Youre suspicious of a guy that has donated $450. Total to 2 seperate non profit organizations and made a mistake in the total amount initially given, gave you his name, address, phone number and e-mail address while politely reqesting that his over payment be returned and you sent the initial return. Because you think there might be some sort of fraud because he screwed up 2 times you still have not identified it and who would be taking a loss? Its a Non Profit Organization!!! 15 pages of printouts later I am forced to initiate a Misc. Pub! Now due to circumstances beyond my control I gracefully requested a Misc. Pub. Report number because the Department has taken a stand that the caller is always right! And I dont need the hassle! The last thing I need is a reason to tell soneone about themself and where to go! Its not just me neither!! Yall know its true!!! LOL
