Popular outside Finland I know only two Finnish bands who sings basically in Finnish, although they has some songs in English too. They are „older” than Teräsbetoni, therefore maybe have a wider audience. Not doubt, that Teräsbetoni are truehearted to Finnish, so by this fact band becomes an unique, which is known outside Finland. So about other bands: One - Moonsorrow (as they call themselves „epic heathen metal”) is in black and folk metal with 7 albums (and European, North America tours). Btw ... in this year November they will be touring in AUSTRALIA ;))) Then Korpiklaani (folk metal) with 8 albums, they were in Latvia too. Ok, they have some songs in another language (English) – like song „Vodka” ;))) I like two of them albums and my favorite song of them - „Tuli Koko”. It and some others songs have, as may call it, a "shamanic" touch and maybe in reason, that it sounds pretty like Latvian folk songs, and they used those „folk instruments”- for exampl, pipes Else, song stories are based on „Kalevala”. They also had many tours in Europe... America. Else band, who sings in Finnish and they had gigs outside Finland - Turmion Kätilöt. Popular in Finland singing Finnish – Kilpi, Mokoma, Stam1na, Rytmihäiriö.... but I not so „familar” with they stuff, so I don`t know how much they were giging abroad. I know that some of them had been in neighbour countries Of course, most popular are those Finnish bands, who sings in English... so there not need to mention they :))
