Some of you may have heard about John Carter Cashs recent arrest in a Newfoundland airport. John Carter is one of my dearest friends. He has a caliber of integrity, kindness, and active faith / hope / love that I have encountered so rarely in so few individuals. To put it another way, John Carter exemplifies the kind of loyal and unshakable love for his family, his friends, and for the whole human family that I desire to emulate. I have seen it with my own eyes countless times. I stand consolidated with John Carter through his trials. And I stand with him in his triumphs. And, I want to say this: Even if John Carter Cash were not one of my closest friends and allies, even if I scarcely knew him, or didnt know him from Adam, but only knew OF him, I would still stand with him. We are not our actions. And we are certainly not our trials, nor are we our triumphs. We are more than the sum of our actions. Each of us. We are complex and storied individuals, inherently flawed, yes....but also inherently good. Yoda said it well, Luminous beings are we; not this crude flesh. So, what am I saying with all this? I stand with John Carter.
