Some people really do have to die. And its not that they are bad people. I met the son of such a person in Vietnam. His father was a commissioned officer in the US Navy. He fought the Vietnam War for 25 years and never left. in 1950, he was an adviser to the French and fell in love. He had a wife and two kids. He was the epitome of going local. But in 1975, he could not stay under Communist rule. Nor could he leave his family. As fate would have it, a sniper put a bullet through his head. And his son agrees, that had to happen. He had to die.
