Some people work for people or have friends that do not allow them to be who they truly are, to say what they truly feel. So they hide behind an alias. I choose to be who I am... I will not always say what is right or politically correct. I may toss in a HADES YEAH, when I shouldnt... Or say Merry Christmas knowing full well not all my friends are Christian... But I will also offer a Happy Ramadan or Chanuka or Celebration of Lights... to anyone if I am aware of it and their preference... Some tell me because I am so prolific about my work that I should not speak my mind about many things including religion and politics. I cannot be an evangelist for my work with my family and friends and not be an evangelist in all other aspects of my life and be what I believe real is.... nor would I want to. The opposite of real to me is being so politically correct that we are fake. Fake smile, fake congrats... I cant do it. I would like to be able to be friends with all of the people in my past and future. Not just co-workers or neighbors but true friends. If we are not friends now... that is not my intention. During the holidays especially - unless someone is dangerous, or you feel a relationship with them as a friend is inappropriate in your life, I would friend them... Especially during the holidays... everyone needs another friend who listens... P.S. If you are my friend and you NEED me... Do not just post something to your wall and OBLIGATE me to find a clue... I am dull and dimwitted... HAMMER me over the head with a private message... be bold, forget that be ALL CAPs if you have to... We can talk... P.P.S. If my post offends you... come here.. I need a proper hug. /grin
