Somebody finally gets it. To great decisions today. The first is Eric Holder finally admitting that the drug war has been a complete disaster and now trying to change some of the tactics for the better. The next was a federal judge striking down the racist policy of stop and frisk. Both the drug laws and stop and frisk were racist polices and part of Jim Crow 2.0. There should never be a law enforcement tool based all most 100% on racism. According to a news report the U.S prison population is up 800% since 1980, most of whom are black. The federal prisons alone is costing 80 billion dollars per year. The U.S has 5 percent of the worlds population and 25 percent of the worlds prisoners. Kind of make the land of the free sound like a joke. The U.S justice system has become a worldwide freak show. It is so out of whack with the real world that we have reality shows about it like Lock Up. Now that we finally have a President and Attorney General who have some intelligence and understands these problems we are beginning to make changes. Who said Obama is not doing anything for black folks? But it will take years to undo the damage.
