Someone should tell tha incompetent,semi-illiterate,war-monger MCA of Cherab Hassan Kumpa that he should depart from past leadership characterized by divisive clan/tribal politics,fire-fighting and cronyism. He should live true to one of the objectives of devolution,which is to bring good governance,service-delivery and decision-making closer to people. But the very same MCA we voted across the board has been found wanting. A good case of his failings is a recent occurrence which should be highlighted not as an exemption but as one of the many examples of his negligence. A needy student from Merti who is studying at Mount Kenya University was offered fees waiver by his university and all he required was a signature from his Ward Representative. He gave the MCA a call and requested his signature. A few minutes after the call, the MCA switched off his phone and went off the radar, never to be heard from. This is not just negligence of duty, this is an inhumane act which no person with an iota of conscience can live with. Luckily for the needy student, he got his fees waiver application form signed by the MCA for Chari, Ali Galgalo. He should know that the people of Cherab did not vote him to chase after girls along tha streets of Isiolo but to represent them in the County Assembly and push for formulation of strategic investment/economic development plan to lift Cherab ward out of tha ignominy of recurrent famine and chronic dependence on food aid. One way of doing this is establishing well-resourced and managed irrigation schemes along Ewaso Nyiro river from Merti-to-Bassa to produce enough food. STYLE UP KUMPA(TICKS)!
