Sometimes in life, you have to recreate yourself into the person - TopicsExpress

Sometimes in life, you have to recreate yourself into the person you need to be in order to rise to new heights of achievement. Life is calling you: at a higher level than youve been living it. And in order to embrace this Higher Life, you have to embrace a new mindset capable of helping you get there. I call it Assuming A New Identity. All the greats do it. The Bible is full of people who were given new identities in order to fulfill their greater potential and purpose. *Abram the father of none became Abraham; father of nations. *Sarai his wife became Sarah his princess. *Jacob the trickster became Israel: Prince of God. *Simon the pebble became Peter: the Rock. *Saul the Hebrew scholar became Paul: Christs scholar. And the list goes on. Every great rapper, musician, sports star, even actors do it. Its a little known seldom used key to getting where you want to be in life. From JayZ: real name Sean Carter...to P-Diddy: real name Sean Combs...to King James: real name LeBron James...to John Wayne: real name Marion Michael Morrison: to Weezy: real name Dwayne Carter. Then theres: *Nicholas Cage: Nicolas Kim Coppola *Tyler Perry: Emmitt R. Perry Jr. *Sylvester Stallone: Sylvester Gardenzio *Vin Deisel: Mark Sinclair Vincent *Bruce Willis: Walter Willison *Bruce Lee: Lee Jun Fan *Tom Cruise: Thomas Mapother IV *Whoopi Goldberg: Caryn Johnson *Hulk Hogan: Terry Jene Bollea *Billy Holiday: Eleanora Fagan *Larry King: Larry Zeigler *Lee Majors: Harvey Lee Yeary II *Dean Martin: Dino Crocetti *Marilyn Monroe: Norma Jean Baker *Demi Moore: Demetria Jean Guynes *Chuck Norris: Carlos Ray I could go on and on. The list is truly endless. You have to be willing to make a break with your current reality. Be willing to flip, and become who you truly are meant to be. Many times we are not our true selves. We learned how to become the person our friends or family wanted us to be. Sometimes we pretended to be someone we are not simply to fit in. And its this persona youve been living thats holding you back. Be willing to change. Be willing to become all that you are capable of becoming. Transform yourself into the person who can get where you want to be in life. Create yourself anew. Start by picturing who you really want to be. Where do you desire to go with your life? You need a clear vision of this. Know exactly what you intend to accomplish. When God changed Abrams name into Abraham, He gave him a clear vision of what his destiny looked like. So clarity is key. Next, think of what it will take for you to get there. Who will you have to become; what friends will you have to cut loose; what relationships will you have to change or end? Make a pact with yourself to do whatever is required to transcend your current reality, and exchange it for the reality you want. Follow the example of the greats and assume a new identity. Create a power alias; your Superman alter ego. And go out there and get it! You can truly be whoever you desire to be. Dont allow society to define you with their prejudices and labels. Define yourself! This doesnt mean you necessarily have to change your legal name. Some people just come from such jacked up backgrounds that they need to see themselves in a different light just to break free from their past. This happened with Tyler Perry aka Emmett Perry Jr. Growing up watching his father terrorize the household and abusing his mom was a hard image to overcome. So he created himself anew: which is just what he needed to become the man we know today. I wont wax too poetic on this one. It isnt rocket science. Its really all about determination. How bad do you want it? How bad do you want to truly live, transcend your past and shake this world? Get busy creating that alter ego who will break new records, achieve the unheard of, or who simply defies the odds and accomplishes what others say couldnt be done. Inspire us...were waiting on you.
