Sometimes we wish we could warn them, telling them that in just a few years if you continue this is what youll look like. I remember, about 15 years ago, how I took in a lady named Leanora. She was 9 months pregnant and homeless. I watched Leanora give birth, and then gave up my bedroom for the next 3 weeks for her and her new baby. I wanted so bad to help this lady get better. During that time Leanora taught me a lot. She taught me how sometimes, as parents, we can enable our children rather then truly help them. And as Christians, we can also enable rather then help them too! You see Leanora came from a very wealthy family and her parents gave her everything that her heart desired. Leanora didnt have to work for anything. Then in high school she got hooked up with some friends that led her down the wrong path. Parents tried everything, from intervention to rehabs. But they didnt try The LORD! Finally after exhausting all of their resources, and after Leanora exhausted all of their finances, they quit and kicked her out. 4 babies later, is when I met her. Yep this was her forth baby, the one I witnessed her having. The other 3 got adopted from someone at CCCM. Leanora also taught me that those people you see standing on the corner, pan-handling, make 200-400 a day. That they know what story to tell, what church gives out what, who gives out bus passes, food, clothing, shelter, and so on. She shared with me how the homeless congret together and share stories on what works and what doesnt work when you want to con people. Well during those 3 weeks I contacted her father and told him she was ready to change, and I truly believe to this to this day, that she truly wanted to. But then during the third week at my house her baby started to scream. It was the type of scream I will never forget. She was nursing her baby and he was have withdraws. Yes Leanora started using again and I had to call the authorities. Her forth baby was taken away and by the grace of God, was adopted by that same family at CCCM. To this day, if one would ask, if I made a mistake by taking her in...I would say absolutely not. If I didnt take her in, this baby wouldnt of had a chance. If I didnt take her in I would not of learned all of these lessons she taught me. And Leanora did hear about the Lord. Brothers and sisters, I love this video below, so please share it. Satan has a hold on these people...BUT brothers and sisters....we have a better solution for them...an even stronger stronghold for them....Psalm 18:2 The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
