Song of the Day for May 28: Alvins Orchestra Im in a silly mood today after an early morning adventure that involved getting hopelessly lost and thus arriving hopelessly late for an appointment. Though Will was not involved in this excursion, it made me think of the fun to be had simply in the journey, even when things dont go as expected. Will and I love going on rides through the countryside, and this song often pops into my head while were watching the world zoom past. It captures the joy of being relaxed and on the road. At the same time, its inevitable chaos reminds me a bit of our wedding as we try to pull everything together and discover that our simple little wedding has grown rather extravagant. Maybe we got a bit carried away, but Saturday is going to be a grand day. Were happy while were rolling along. Were singing every goofy song. Boy, what a joy, what fun! Children waving you a big hello. Why, youve got friends You didnt even know! How we love to go for a ride And see the country far and wide; Its great when youre on the go!
