Soooo...BIG changes happening in my life that I am so excited about! After a very difficult year of trying to make the work-wife-mom-balance-thing work out I have decided to call it QUITS! I have given a two-week notice at my job and am D-O-N-E trying to do it all. My family, my health and my Spirit have suffered greatly this past year and I do not want to waste another minute of this amazing life that God has given me. God has blessed me with two amazing people - my husband, Ted Anderson and my daughter, Savannah Grace. These two are my world and deserve the very best of me. For too long now, my job (and commute) get the majority of my time and energy, Savannah gets the little that is left over and that leaves next to nothing for my husband and my marriage. A far cry from the God first, family second, career third philosophy that I learned long ago. Savannah is starting preschool in two weeks. I intend to be there to drop her off, to pick her up and to attend field trips as I am able without the guilt and hassle of having to get the approval of my superiors. This decision that I have made will have a huge impact on our finances, that is for sure. In addition to losing my salary, our health insurance costs are about to more than double along with a huge deductible. Ted and I are working as a team to come up with ways to cut our expenses and attempt to live on one full-time salary instead of two. We will certainly need to give up some luxuries and get back to the basics. A small price to pay when compared to what we will gain - our life, our family, peace and joy. I will begin to get creative in finding ways to make money from home as I will need to supplement Teds earnings in order for us to make ends meet. We continue to pray for the sale of our home to happen sooner rather than later. I am thankful to God for how He has always provided and will continue to. I am thankful for Ted for supporting me in this decision. I am thankful for the encouragement I have received from family and friends. I welcome you prayers during this transition time for our family. I know that there will be difficult times ahead but I also know that we have an AWESOME God that will see us through! God Bless. - Kim
