Soooo..... looks like Im going titleless in 2014. - Arizona basketball lost in the Elite 8 with a chance to hit a game winner. I was in the building for that one. - Kaepernick was intercepted in the back of the end zone in the final seconds of the NFC Championship as my 49ers lost to the eventual Super Bowl champs. - LeBron (and the Heat) got killed by the Spurs. (I saw that one coming.) - The Dodgers got knocked out in the NLDS as Supermans kryptonite appears to be the 7th inning. - Team USA got dumped in the 1st game knockout stage of the fútbol World Cup, despite an effort for the ages out of our goalie, Tim Howard. I explained those in the most blunt, possibly heartbreaking ways possible because guess what? To me sports is all about the journey, so Ill be back next year screaming my lungs out during every thrilling second. And win or lose in 2015, Ill always take these life lessons away from sports: 1) every tomorrow is a chance to become better than you were today and 2) when things dont go your way, be patient, it makes it that much sweeter when they do.
