Sorry about any typos guys, typos are NOT cool!! :c The Season of Water (Part Five) Out of pure fear and instinct, he just ran. Billy ran off in a random direction, not knowing where the strange white glowing line would lead him, but followed. He heard footsteps behind him, then more shouting and even more footsteps joining in. More and more people were joining in on the chase! Billy caught the faintest sound of children, shouting with the workers, very young children. Their voices were jumbled with the other voices shouting at him. He couldnt make out what they were saying but pushed the thought away. He had to focus on running. All of a sudden the white line in front of him suddenly switched its direction so it turned to the right, and at that same moment Billy switched to the right and heard someone crash beside him. Someone was coming for him up ahead, and the line changed so the person missed him! Billy followed the white glowing line, making each turn and changes along with the pathway, one wrong move and he would be caught and probably put with a 24 hour surpervisor. What about mom? The thought came up into Billys head. Billy thought for a bit, while chasing after the never ending and never changing glowing white line in the middle of blackness. Dodging objects and people, jumping side to side he made up his mind. He would go to see her later, when he was under the radar. Finally he heard a movement, the sound you hear when automatic doors open up, then a cold wind hit his face, hard. He knew he was now outside the building, and kept running. a few moments later he came to a part of the white line where it had a bit of a curve, he jumped upwards when he got to it. That must be for jumping then. Billy thought. A while later he realized that there were no more footsteps behind him, or shouting. Or the cries of children. Billy screeched to a stop, sending leaves everywhere. Im in a forest then? He wondered. Billy turned around, and saw the white glowing line behind him, still there and perfect. He could go back. He could just go back, and wait for his mother and make life easier for everyone. But that was impossible. April was still missing. Hank was still dead. May was still in Surgery. And Billy was still blind. But now, Billy was blind, and alone. Billy crouched down and felt around with his hands. He felt dirt, grass, leaves, stones, tree roots, it looked like he was in a forest. He sat down slowly and leaned against a tree. Im sorry dad, Im sorry April. I love you both...please come back to me.... Billy whispered a prayer. Out of the exhaustion of everything that had happened, and it all happening so quickly, Billy soon fell asleep. He woke up and saw two people standing in front of him, the background was unseen for everything was still black around them, and they were standing in a circle of white. He tensed, ready to run from the two frightning people standing in front of him. One, the tallest male, was very bloody and showed great damage. The other, shorter than the first but taller than himself, was wet. Wet only. His fear, thought to decrease when he found out who they were, only grew even stronger once he reconized the two people standing in front of him. The first, had been Hank, his father. The other, had been April, his sister. But April was wet! She.... drowned? Billys fear grew even stronger at that point when he remembered how tempting and frightning the river at the cabins had been. Had his sister fallen under the trance as well? She who has fallen He who has risen They who have fallen And risen again Run to their mothers And to their fathers Only to have them Push them away Into forever night For they celebrate And rejoice The season of water For it has begun before And now And forever His thoughts were interupted by the haunting words, which had entered his own mind and had not been said aloud. Each line said by a different child, with no one he could see speaking. But the last line, For the season of water has begun scared Billy. The voice was said by what sounded like an 11 year old boy. He, out of all of the children, said it grimly and fearlessly. He had said it so boldly as if he felt more important out of the rest. Billy was so lost in thought that he hadden realized that April and Hank were gone, and an entire army of children replaced them. Billy gasped at the sudden picture and looked in horror as some children had ripped and wet clothes, from more than 10 years ago. The season of water has begun. The children all spoke in one booming voice, the boy in front speaking the loudest. Billy reconized the boy in the front as the child who had said the last line of his earlier message. He had a red thin winter sweater, blue jeans and grey tennis shoes. He had brown wet hair covering his eyes, casting an intimidating shadow across the top of his face, down to his nose so his eyes were invisible. Even if the young boys eyes were unseen, Billy knew he was staring at him. Him and him only. -Jen (I am so sorry about the terrible job, I had HUGE writers block on this one, which is also why its kind of short. Im sorry, I tried. :/)
