Sorry we havent updated lately. Things were holding steady for awhile and then Bam! All kinds of good things. They started him on diuretics over the weekend to clear out the excess fluid in his system. The hope being that it would clean out his lungs and make it easier to breath. It seems to be working, on Monday they had switched him from high flow to low flow oxygen and we came in today to see him breathing room air without any assistance. And as you can see from the pictures hes graduated to an open crib today. Its so exciting to think that nine weeks ago he was the tiniest baby in the nicu and now hes one of the big boys. We are still hopeful that he will be able to come home by his due date.
