The Handloom series is a limited edition range of Superior Cotton Slings, as there are only a few slings of each colour. This fabric is thicker and heavier than the fabric used in Classic Cotton slings, and therefore needs at least a few washes to make the fabric soft and easily adjustable. However, the fabric still remains cool against the skin and highly breathable, making it ideal for Indian weather. As the fabric is thick and sturdy, the Handloom sling is ideal for heavier toddlers or older babies. This property also makes it most suitable for people who have practice and expertise in baby wearing. This is not a beginner sling, and Soul recommends the Classic Cotton range for beginners who want to start wearing their baby. The colour tends to bleed and so your new Handloom sling must be washed separately on the first wash. The weave also may have some lose threads, knots or unevenness, but that is just the nature of the fabric and doesn’t affect the functionality of the sling.
