This is Champ from Cambodia and here is the brief recap on what happened recently at 52nd IATSS Forum: On September 30, our first day in Osaka, we started the day with a field study at Karahori, a model community where an innovative concept of Sustainable Community Design was practiced with impressive success by combining the old town houses/building with the modern design and creativity. We had a great time visiting this creative part of the city with the guidance of the pioneers of the Karahoriu Club. In the afternoon, we continued with the lecture on Creative City given by Professor Konagaya at Osaka City University, where we learned even more deeply about the theory of creative city concept - its characteristics, strategies, and some of the real examples including a case study of Karahori as well.
