Speaking up is crucial to gaining leadership positions. But new research shows that women face real challenges when it comes to voicing their ideas. One study found that the more men spoke up, the more helpful their managers believed them to be. But when women spoke up more, there was no increase in their perceived helpfulness. Correcting this bias wont just level the playing field for women -- it will create better organizations and better ideas for us all.
