Spending time with my Abba tonight. Thanking Him for all of His mercies He has shown toward me and my family. For protecting my children, my husband, and those I hold dear in my heart. For directing my steps even when I strayed off my path. At that moment I looked up at the calendar hanging conspicuously on my wall and He reminded me of a memorial that was set 20 years ago beginning in the month of June. Lost my job, my ministry, my church family, close friends, my mom, grandmother, aunt, and dad! All of this took place within a years time. It felt like death was overtaking me. 4 family members deaths in six months is a difficult challenge to endure. 20 years seems like yesterday. Close friends vanished. Crushing? Yes. That was a hard blow to take. Then I realized that YHVH had walked us through those dark and gloomy days that seemed to drag on for years. He provided abundantly for our needs, comforted us in our grief, gave us rest for our searching souls, and bound our broken hearts. He breathed life into our dry bones and set our feet upon His solid rock. He drew us deeper into Him and started us on our journey into His deep treasures that are found by those who search, "It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings". It is with a humbly grateful heart I bow to worship the lover of my soul, the One in whom my heart will forever trust and adore.
