Spent the day playing the whereismy???? Game. Having a creative, Mc Guyver type daughter is a rich blessing. It is rather frustrating, however, to put an object away only to find it has disappeared into the ethereal Jadyn Zone when I need it. I was cleaning the bathroom today and went to prepare my mop water only to find.....no bucket.....Its a big, red bucket. Big red buckets do not grow legs and walk away. No....they sit stationary reminding you of all the stuff you need to do, unless they reside in my house. If they reside here, they could be anywhere filled with God knows what! Acorns, berries, tadpoles, turtles, etc....today, my bucket was found by the edge of the woods....it contained a little rain water, a leaf or two, and a few dead bugs...it could have been worse, believe me. The Whereismy??? Game includes, but is not limited to, at least 40 pairs of EMS shears, my nail clippers, umpteen pairs of earbuds, 6 skeins of yarn, 4 crochet hooks, a laundry basket, and a damn partridge in a $@!#*&! Pear tree! Once, I found all my laundry baskets tied together with yarn, in the front yard. These were tied to her bicycle to make a train....Ive found my bathrobe and a sleeping bag in her playhouse....Ive found my broom on her trampoline....a roll of any kind of tape in this house has a life expectancy of 4 seconds...staples? Fuggedaboudit! My nice kitchen strainer, I found by the pond....I can guess, but I really dont wanna know...needless to say, I dont use it in the kitchen anymore....every day is like an easter egg hunt here at the retirement villa.... the upside is, when I finally have a fit of apoplexy, maybe shell be able to save me with some tape, a pair of trauma shears, and a paperclip. ..sigh....GIGGLE!
